PRINCE IMPERIAL.
The manager intends to commence crushing at the Prince Alfred battery tomorrow. He has about 80 tons of general stuff in the paddock and 2cwt of picked stone, some of which, however, is Tery rough. In the company's workings the lode in west drive bottom level is looking much better than it has ever done before, and more hands have been put on to break out quartz from that portion of the mine. Gold is seen every breaking down, and a few lbs of picked stuff obtained. In other portions of the mine there is no change worth mentioning. Four blocks have been let on tribute, and the parties started work yesterday morning. Campbell and party have a section on the Beach leader, between Nos. 2 and 3 levels. The leader is about six inches thick, and formerly paid well. Davidson and party are working'a'block on the No. 2 level on No. 2 reef east, where the company was working some time ago. Blaney and party have two blocks on the Mariner's reef. Lukie and party have a block on No. 2 reef at No. 2 level, west of winze. '.■■
