. Graham's tribute section f on the No. 3 level was visited to-day. The tributers were only stripping the lode, as the near' wall is not yet free from mullock. When' this is, finished the quartz will, bet cat through, atod driving will then be'started* The hole from whence the golden stone was obtained some days ago is of small' size, and there is gold Bhowing< in' the face. The .quartz, which is of a very favorable nature,' is pretty heavily mineralised, and the -country is everything that could be. desired. It is full of black seams,' and mineral bands,'which i generally accompany gold-bearing quartz. The' reef runs about' east and west, and will probably. junction with the No. 2 lode within' the next 200 feet. With reference to this No. 2 lode I may mention that there is a large quantity standing in this . level on which no work has been done, with the exception of the carrying of the drive and leading stppe. The quartz has a very likely appearance, and, I believe, would pay to block out.. If is about two feet thick, and the tributers, Wayte and party, have sunk on it 55 feet, getting gold all the way down, while a crushing taken from,it a,few days ago averaged three ounces. The tributers, Thorburn and party, are working on golden stone at No. 2 level. Kendall and party; who* are working on the No. 4 leader at No. 3 level, have finished' a crushing of five loads for the yield of HoEs'l9dwtg' gold. . ■ , . . ■ • .
