The water in the township has not risen quite so high as the flood a fortnight ago. The same' streets and an equal extent of to.wnship are covered, but pot to the same depth. The Clutha Leader office, Crown hotel, Criterion hotel and several other buildings are jxot flooded. The water is now falling slowly, and getting away into the channels commenced, last flood,,which are widening and deepening. JSo more buildings have gone or extraordinary additional damage so far as known. Armstrong (engineer), Grant (manager railway), and a number of gen* tlemen from Dunedin have been hereby special train, and inspected the wreck of the railway line and station. The largest viaduct across the lower reserve township is rapidly giving away. A large gang of workmen are at work all day with, trucks and an engine, attempting to save the large embankment next the bridge. It is believed they will succeed. It is reported that the railway station will probably be removed^from its present site to high ground at the end of Larnach street, but nothing is decided. There are several very large channels, through the present station yard. ' r
