CITY OF NORWICH.
This claim is situated to the south west of the Alburnia, comprising 13 men's ground and owned by Dwnke and party. The shareholders drove about 50 feet from below the level of the Moauatairi
tramway, and cut a lode bearing north, and averaging 18 inches in thickness. This has been driven on 60 or 70 feet, and is now about the same size as when first intersected. A leading, stopb is now being earned along and a rise is being made to connect with a level some 35 I'eet higher up for purposes of ventilation. They intend driving ahead some distance ere stoping on a large scale is started. Gold has been seen, more or less, all along the drive, and at the time of a visit today I saw some colors broken from the face. The claim is 800 feet on the line of this reef, which is without doubt one of the Alburnia leaders.
