OLD GOLDEN CALF.
: The reef in the winze is now about four feet thick, and gold has been seen in, all parts of it, and parcels of picked stone are obtained every breaking down.' As the trial crushing has proved it to be ore of a superior grade, when systematic operations are commenced in it it should
prove highly remunerative. The manager hopes to be in a position to commence crushing at the Queen of Beauty battery this week. When the winze is down far enough a drive will probably be put in to the shaft.
