Arrived : The Raymond, brig, from N«wc.-;sf-le. She reports thr t on Wednes •
day last, when off Cape Campbell, the light bearing N.N.W., four miles off, the vessel suddenly ran right upon so.netb.ing, which brought her up all standing. She prized off in about a minute, when a quantity of timber was seen, loading those on board to, suppose the object struck was floating wreck. She encountered a heavy 1 southerly gale next day, and has been making much water since.
-Arrived : The Bride of the"Lome, ship, 135 days from Cardiff, brings 10' JO tons of railway iron ; no passengers, or any other cargo. She experienced a sue cession of heavy gales from the time of losing the S.E. trades." Sue left Cardiff on April 3rd. One of the apprentices, named J.ohn Henry Gardner, fell from the mizzen chains and was drowned on June 30th. The cargo started during one of the gales, and strained the ship considerably.
