There has been one death during the month. The sufferer was an elderly woman, whose strength had been well nigh worn out before she came into the Hospital. The new nurse, Miss Hanson, took up her place on the first of the present month, and Beems willing to learn her duties. Messrs McGowan and McCullough objected to Father Chastagnon's seat being declared vacant until he had sent in his resignation. Mr Mulligan said that three weeks ago Father Chastagnoh had requested him to state he was leaving the district. Mr Mcllhone's motion was then carried. Mr McCullough moved that Mr John Wilson be elected to fill the place of Mr Hicks. Carried. TUNEBALS. Mr McGowan moved that Messrs Benshaw, Davies, Mcllhone, McCullough and the mover report on the manner of conducting Hospital funerals. He said.he thought this committee could give a report to the Committee that would afford a considerable amount of information. Several interments had taken place from the Hospital that were not at all creditable to the community. When funerals were done at £2 per interment, they could not expect much, and he thought it a wrong economy. The motion was agreed to, and the Committee adjourned.
