At the Supreme Court to-day, Mr Joynt, solicitor, applied for a rule nisi callipg'on the Hon. the Colonial Treasurer to show cause why a mandamus should not issue 'o compel him to pay over to

the Hoard Boards certain money accruing from the land fund of the colony, alleged to be due on December the 31st last. After a long argument, his Honor Judge Johnston granted the application, the rule to be returnable in a fortnight.

Steps have been taken here for the publication of a coursing calendar for New Zealand.
