A football match—WeirngtoD v. Nelson—came off to-day. The two first half

hours brought out some very hard play without any result, though the position of the ball was generally in favour of Wellington. The third bout Wellington scored one goal and one try ; fourth bout very hard play, but no further result. Tho Wellington team will be entertained at dinner to night.
