The.cause of.the stranding of the p.s. Result* tit Karamea, was that no light was shown at the signal-station. Warden Broad, Postmaster Shrimpton, and Alexander Still, of Westport, were among the passengers. They were alt saiely landed; but they suffered much from exposure. .-."■. '. .".' : . Edwards and Co., of Nelson, have telegraphed to send a steamer to the assistance of tlie Result.
