MOANATAIRI.
The country in the cross-cut north from the tUDnel put in to intersect the Point Russell lode is making but poor progress, the distance driven last week with the rock being only. 8 feet. The country is as hard as bell-metal, end there are no signs of the lode yet, which, however, should be to hand shortly. The mine generally is looking pretty well, especially in the stopes, and the crushing is shaping for the usual average.
