QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
About 2Olbs of splendid specimens were obtained, chiefly in the new stope, in the Queen of the May section, about 120 feet from the face. The reef at the bottom varies in size from six to eight feet, and is a splendid looking body of stone. The lode where the specimens came from is also looking first class, gold be'ng frequently seen. <•■■ The first retorting since crushing has . been regularly started on the quartz from the new level will take place at the end of the present week, when there will bo a good yield. The stuff has averaged about an ounce per load.
