FOUND DEAD.

An old man of intemperate' habits, named Mowbray MeggeJ t, was found dead in his cottage, Block 27, yesterday afternoon by two young men named Henderson. It appears that the deceased was not seen about since Saturday last, and his neighbors became alarmed : the Hen? dersons weat over and discovered the deceased lying quite dead, with his head in the fire-place. The house was in a filthy state, and there was a little money lying about.. The deceased was in receipt of remittances from home, and is said to have some money in the bank. ; He is an old sea captain, and his friends are well to do. The facts attending his death are in the report of the inquest given below.
