A meeting of members of the Dunedin bar was held to-day to consider an article in the Times re tbie Administration of justice in the B.M. Court. Thirty-eight put of forty-seven members attended. Those absent were Messrs Denniston, A. Bathgate, and Buctiar-an, who are connections of Judge Bathgate; Macdsseys (two), Cooks, Sievwtfght, and Stout (Attorney-General). meeting was not open to the Press, but it was understood that a resolution Was carried almost unanimously to the effect that there was ground for the article, though owing to the difficulty of specified• proof no recommendation be made to the Government in the matter. • Another Version. ■•*'• I Sunday.. A meeting of the Law Society, attended by .thirty-eight members, met on Saturday, to consider the article in the Daily Times re the administration of justice in the -it M. Court. They resolved that the article was not without foundation, but in the absence of evidence* to support specific charges, it Was not incumbent on the meeting to take any action.
