The balance-sheet of the Union Insur ance Company was issued this morning It shows receipts from premiums £42,355, from transfer fees £188, and iuterest £791; total £43,335. The expenditure has been—fire and marine losses, £3,799; preliminary expenses, £2,4/3 ; stationery, £1,263 ; re-insurances, £10,516; discounts, commissions,, and charges, £11,146, leaying a profit balance of £14,1^2, which the directors recommended should be carried forward to the next year. This report is considered very satisfactory. j
