Theatre Royal.

,Mr It. J. Do Lias' dramatic company performed the domestic dr ~ma ." Driven from Home " on the boards of this theatre last evening. The'piece is a dramatized version of Tennyson's * beautiful poem "Dora." Mr John Jack took the part of Allen, and represented the headstrong farmer in a most realistic manner. liis acting was much admired, and he was frequently applauded. Miss Firmin's Dora Allen was charming in its naturalness and simplicity. In the second act she sang Tennyson's ballad," The Brook," which again showed that in addition to her rare histrionic ability this talented actress possesses a sweet and well cultivated voice. >Nexfc in order of merit comes Mrs "Walter Hill's representation of Mary Morrison, the servant girl, a part iull of pathos; and the old favorite fully sustain-d her reputation. Mr Sleele as Luke Bloomfield was very successful. The minor parts were also fairly rendered. The after piece was en entertainment called "In and out of place," in which Miss Firinin introduced a number of amusing characters. This kept the audience in; rbarr of laughter during its performance. There was a good house. To-night Byron's celebratd comedy of " Our Boys," which has bad a loDger 1 on than any comedy ever written, will be produced, wlien there will doubtless be a large attendance. Mr John Jack will play Perkyu Midcjlewick, the retired butteiuian, and Mi&s Arcie Firm:i the part of Mary Melrpse.
