WARDEN'S COURT.

This was a plaint brought by the com* plainant against 'ie defendants, registered owners the Little Angel claim, situated at Moanat .iri Creek, tor failing to bona fide work the same, wherefore tiie com* plainant pi'ayed to be put in possession. Mr Miller appearet for the complain* ant. There was no apper?ance of defendents.

John H. White, sworn, deposed—l am a miner, and hold a miner's right. I know the Little Angel claim, Moanatairi Creek. It hr.s not been worked for some time past. I wish for an order to take possession. F. J. Burgess, sworn,^ deposed—l am Clerk to the. Mining Registrar and pro* duce register of the Little Angel claim, containing four men's ground. The four defendants are- the registered owners. The same ground is in a license applied for by Mr hunter. The application was made before this plaint was laid. His Worship said he would adjourn th« case till the 18th proximo, when the hearing of the license would take place. GOLDSMITH V. JOHN FABBEL. This was a plaint laid by the Mining Inspector against the defendant for foiling to pay thrc 3 years' rent on a residence site at Karaka Creek. ~ J1 c defendant said that he had never occupied tie site, and he did not under* strnd tho law on the matter. H's Worship s?id bo should hare surrendered the sits at once. He would hfive to pa/ the £3 rent, and costs, 13s.' BE VNA. G.M.CO. Mr 11. McDonald Scott, liquidator of the Uua G.iV- .Co, objected lo the forfeiture ■ of the Una G.M.Co's. grouud by thcfT^ Mm; Df< Inspector. He said that there were two tribui3 parties employed, aad he Jidd never before heard of a licsnse being re-entered when there were men employed in it.

His Worship said that as the license had not been worked iv accordance with the Act, he would have to uphold the.-_ decision of the Inspector, Court adjourned. -
