WELLINGTON.
Saturday. A telegram has been received from the Native Minister, instructing that the late Native Land Court Judge, John Bogan, be re-called forthwith, and that J. A. Wilson be re-appointed Native Land Purchase Commissioner for the East Coast.
Thiiday. Mr Seymour Thome George has received a requisition from the Hokitika electors inviting him to become a candidate for the representation of that district in Parliament. Mr George replied, complying with the request, and stating that he will visit the district of Hokitika.
Mr Gerald George Fitzgerald has announced himself as a candidate for the Assembly for the seat vacated by Mr Button.
A Gazette issued this morning notifies that Parliament is further prorogued from 15th June to Ist July next. ,
