WATCHMAN.

A meeting of the directors of the above company was held at Mr D. G. Macponnell's, legal manager's office, last night, when it was decided to commence operations immediately by calling for tenders to drive 150 feet of a low level tunnel (below the tributers' low level) for the purpose of intersecting the tributers' lode. The appearance of the lode indicates that it will be highly remunerative, ■ and; from the good prospects of the tunnel intersecting auriferous quartz, the directors are fully justified in resujung operations. The lode is the champion reef of the upper portion of the left hand spur of the Moanatairi, and has been, or is,, successfully worked by the Sons of Freedom (Alburnia), New North Devon, and other companies. -
