COROMANDEL.
This day. Coromandel Mining. Tokatea.—A meeting of the directors was held yesterday, when accounts outstanding were paid. A call of half a crown per share was made. The manager's appointment was'deferred until the twentythird instant. Mr Knox, underground manager, was instructed to commence work immediately. The probability is that Mr Knox will receive the managership of the mine.
Cobby.—Twenty pounds of specimens this morning; a good show of gold in the face. • , ■ :
Tho Watchman, adjoining the Corby, is looking well. They have started work.
The Pbogbess started work from the old Black Beef shaft. The water is rapidly being reduced. They inttad driving for the specimen leader in the Union Beach ground.
The National Bank shipped two thousand five hundred and twenty-five ounces to the head office to-day.
T" c Haebob View got thirty-fire
pounds of picked stone today. A call has been made of one shilling per share.
