The Herald of to-day says Bewi has arrived aj Mokau with the Maniapoto chiefs on their way to Waitara to meet Sir George Grey and Sheehan.
* William King,, of Waitara, will be present. Kewi s.ys this meeting will end the trouble between the two races, but keeps dark his intended propo&als till Ministers meet him on the 21st. He intends to expose the doings of tome natives who deserted the King party, and also of some Europeans whose actions tended to create bloodshed during the Taranaki war.
