Friday. Another new reef has been discovered on the summit of Lengwood, two miles above the Prospectors' claim, and the ground hrs been pegged but for miles. The gound is now takoo up from the base-of Longwood to the top. Very little real prospecting is being done until the leases are'granted by tte Warden.

A public meaiing was held here last night, at which a resolution was carried condemnatory of the granting of leases for large areas of ground. The prospectors having been granted protection for their application, and are now showing prospects .which are exceedingly rich. They repbri.a seam .two feet thick. There is great excitement in consequence.
