CURE.

The tributers, Gilmour and parity who are working on the leader named after the tribute, have just completed a crashing of 24 loads for the splendid return of 140ozs gold\ They pay the company 17^ per cent., so that it will also participate considerably in the good luck oif the tributers. At the n.ne there is not much new since my last report The surface

ciosscuc has intersected a mullocky looking lode, which it is thought is the No. 1. As the Manul'au tributers arc' also working this reef, and are driving on it towards the Cure boundary, it is intended tcTpostpone driving until these tributers have reached (he boundary and prospected the lode. If they meet with encoura»iug prospects the Cure manager wi'l commence developing the portion in his ground. In connection witli the rise on the No. 2 lode, a drive at the Crow a level is being cleaned out, and then the cutting through of the lode will be resumed. It has been cut, into from the footwall some 19 feet, and still there is no sitter of the hanging-wall. Stoping- and driving on Gilmour's leader is progressing, and first rate stone is coming out, though hardly so rich as that obtained by the tributers above. The block now being worked is 30 feet below the Caledoniau No. 1 level, and the backs are that height and of ureat length/ The drive is at p esent about 30 feet ahead of the leading s ope, and the leader does not show any deterioration in value going ahead. Crashing at the Prince Alfred mill will be finished tonight, but retorting will not take pla c till Mbnday.
