Professor Ulrich and Mr W. H. Pearson (Commissioner of Waste Lands) left for Longwood to-day. Warden Wood, who arrived to-day, is busy signing leases and granting various rights. It will be some time before anything definite is known, as the reef runs through a dense bush. It will take capital and time to develop the ground. The locality is being pegged for miles in every direction. Stores, shanties, &c, are being erected. It is generally believed the ground is limited, arid men should be cautious not to come here* wit faout capital. ■■,-.: .
