While visiting the Alburnia to-day, I had a look at the Devon east drive. ' On the south side of the drive there is a little rubbly Beam of quartz, and the country looks as if it had. been dislocated by a slide, it being, very soft, wet, and unsettled. The water may be taken as a good sign, as it probably indicates a change of country or the approach of a large body of quartz. A few feet further driving may show a great change.
