The Star says Mr Larnach's resignation for Dunedin has been placed in the Speaker's hands this week. Mr C. S. ■Beeves comes forward in the Government'! interest. ■
The Chamber of Commerce have made strong representations to the Government about the defenceless state of Dunedin.
