A meeting of creditors of Mark Somerville, grocer, Queen street, has been held. Liabilities, £3176; assets, £1410. An offer of 6s in tbe pound was accepted.

Lewis Bros*, creditors have adjourned to May the thirteenth to allow the English creditors to be represented.

The Ada Cowen, brigantine, after leaving the Islands with passengers and crew—'with the exception of the captain, and two passengers, Nolan and Darrach— all the others were stricken with island fever. Two died.

Fearful hurricanes hare occurred at New Hebrides. Houses were demolished, and some sheets Tof corrugated* iron were carried half a mile. Trees were torn up and crops destroyed. The natives are starring. The Charybdis, an Auckland vessel, was completely wrecked. The Ebenczer schooner weat ashore. The Pacific schooner's foremast was cut away.
