QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
The country in the cross-cut from the Piako shaft is good, and the lode looks well. A good deal of water now issues from the face.
THISTLE. , This is the name given to the old Clyde-and-Tyne ground, Te Papa Gully, by Agnew and son. The shareholders have been working the ground with payable results so far, though, from there being ouly a bad sledge track to get stuff to the mill, nothing less than an ounce per load will pay. They state that there is plenty of half-ounce stuff in the viciuity of their ground if there was only ft cheaper means of getting stuff to the mill. To-day they finished a crushing of <even loads for the yield of 7ozs Bdwts gold. The shareholders are taking stuff front the (Jljdc-and-Tyne old workings ftt present.
