NEW MORNING STAR.
The manager is driving from bottom level on the course of the main slide to pick up Gill's lode where it strikes the slide. It is expected that the lode will be cut in ,40 or 50 feet further driving, and as this has been worked in any of the in* termediate levels there will be a fine block to slope out. This is the only work now in progress below the surface. At present the manager is prospecting two very likely looking leaders at the back of the shaft, and some colors of gold have been seen in the stone.
