CURE.
The men driving the surface level from the Waiotahi side of the spur are now in about 176 feet, and have met with a rather hard bar of ground. It is anticipated that in 30 or 40 feet more driving the No. 1 lode will be reached. This is the highest point that the claim has been worked, and is entirely virgin ground. The former richness of the locality in gold deposits gives hope that something good will be met with in the series of workings it is intended to extend from the cross-cut. Gilniour's leader continues to look first rate, and there is now close oMGO tons of stuff to grais from it. ;
