Sir George Grey received an enthusiastic reception at Hamilton, Waikato. Triumphal arches were erected and addresses delivered. A vote of confidence was passed at the meeting held last night.
The City of New York sailed for Sydney at noon.
William Errington, engineer of the Auckland water works and graving dock, received by the mail a notification of his election as a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, London.
