KURANUI HILL UNITED.
The following is a copy of the mine manager's usual weekly report to the directors:—"l have the honor to report that during the past week the drive on the leader at 300-feet level advanced 14 feet. The leader is somewhat larger, but not so regular as formerly. The ground continues favorable. Nolan and party, on No. 1 lode at 619-feet level, completed their contract at 365, and the drive it again let at 23s to a fresh party. I nee no change in the reef or in the ground since last report. The drive near the slide passed through a second ▼em on Friday. This last has not the promising features of that first met. Its underlie will junction with No. 1 in depth. They are running about parallel. I intend driving on No. 1 at soon as I receive your instructions. The cross.cut is going ahead over twenty (20) feet per week —Yours, &c, J. W. Walk 18.
