DBtTNKBNH£B9. Thos. J. Cutts was charged «ith having been drunk and disorderly yesterday, aha also with having # been three times previously convicted in three months. The defendant said he was no more drunk than four glasses of beer would make him in the coune of four hours. .
Mr Ballen said that defendant had been drunk yesterday, and behaved in a most extraordinary manner. When he had a few glasses of beer in him he generally collected a crowd of children around him, and created a disturbance, tie had previously been brought up oh suspicion of lunacy, but the doctors were of opinion that he was no more mad than he (Mr Bullen). As he would get seven days under the second charge, there would be an opportunity of watching his beha> viour, and he would be again examined by the doctors to see if there were any traces of lunacy about him. ■>* His Worship fined defendant 20a and costs, or 48 hours' imprisonment for the
first offence, and seven days' imprison* ment for the second.
Defendant: The time will come when all this wiil be explained. Court adjourned.
