HOKITIKA.
Tuesday. Kyan'a murder trial has been on all day. Five witnesses were examined, namely, Mrs Darnells, wire of Daniells, supposed to bo murder *d j Walter Daniells, son of the srtce; and W. Galvh, who identified DanieNi' watch ; also Peer Gon.die, who identified the body; and Mary Downie. The evidence was much the same as that given in the Magistrate's Court, but a few stronger points of evidence hare been elicited. The trial is likely to last three or four days more. There are still about twenty witnesses to be examined.

Ten more witnesses were examined todiy in Ryan's case. Over a do.^en witnesses hare yet to be heard. Mrs Daniells was about three hqtirs in the witness box. She fully identified her late husband's skull, watch, and clothes. Inspector Mallard, DefecUve Brown, and Inspector O'Donnell's evidence is expected to be taken to-morrow.
