CURE.
This mine was visited yesterday. The manager is continuing the patting ia of the cross-cat to intersect the No. 2 lode, and will start rising on the lode towards the junction as soon as it is reached. Stoping and driving is proceeding in Gilmour's leader which is looking well. It is about one foot thick, but it varies considerably sometimes not being more than two or three inches. Some specimens hare been obtained, and there are about 60 tons already broken up, which is ' estimated to be worth st least an ounce to the ton. It is intended to start crashing : as soon as about 100 tons has accumulated. There-is a large amount of this block to •tope out, and it will keep things moving: until a better find is made. The cross. cut from the surface is in about 70 feet, and is being put in in a most substantial manner. The drive ia 6£ feet high, and 4} wide at the bottom. The ground is splendid working ground. Lately a small leader has been eat snow* ing likely looking stone. The drive will be the main adit of the surface portion of the mine.
