Monday.
After the Judge's summing up in the Jones casej the jury retired, and after half-an-hour's deliberation brought in a verdict of " Not guilty," and the accused was discharged. This day. The- inquiry into the circumstances under which the child found in a soap box at Blueskin met with its death was resumed «t the hospital this afternoon. After some further evidence the coroner summed up, and the jury returned a verdict—" That the child died from suffocation by the hands of the mother, and that wilfully."
