THE WAR.
London, March 12. The Hungarian Delegation has agreed to grant sixty millions of florins for war purposes. ; Russian troops are moving [sic] Constantinople. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, replying to a question, stated that the Government had no information that the Eussian troops were fortifying Bulair, but they were still distant twelve miles from it. The Tanjore arrired at Galle on March 12th. It is semi-officially stated from Vienna that war is regarded as inevitable unless Russia submits for consideration at the European Congress the whole conditions of peace. London, March 11. The Australian January mails viaßrindisi were delivered to-day. Frequent Cabinet Councils are being held. Mr Gladstone will not be a candidate at the next general election. England and France hare accepted the proposal for a Peace Congress to be held at Berlin. The Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs asked for a grant of sixty million florins. He said Austria must demand of the Peace Conference that the limitations of the results of the war be defined, whereby European and Austrian-Hunga-rian interests remain uninjured, and a single Power attempting a solution of the difficulty must be prepared to meet a European coalition.
(Sfjcial to the Abgus.) London, March 12th. The Italian Ministry hare resigned. Carols is new Plesident of the Chamber, retiring from the Cabinet. Count Andrassy repudiates that occupation scheme. It is probable that England and France will take joint action respecting Egypt. The western powers are supporting the admission of Greece to the Congress.
