MOANATAIRI.

The following it a copy of the mine manager's usual weekly report:—" 150 feet level.—ln driving west none of No. 9 reef has been broken down during the last few days. The country is tight, and the reef hard low grade stuff. The stopes west from No. 2 winze occasionally show colors of gold, but the stuff is poor. In cross-cut south between two slides nothing has'yet been intersected I shall continue driving so as to prospect the grornd in this direction. 80-feet level.—Driving west has been resumed, and we have intersected Wo. 9 reef in west side of slide. The reef had made a right heave a few feet north. Ib is now 14 inches thick, and has a promising appearance wiCi good colors of gold and a little mineral showing. The ■topes east on same reef between, two slides are looking poor, and the country is very much broken. Ihe reef is also broken in the winze sinking below 80-feet level. We are now sloping above tunnel level on No. 9 reef between Nos. 2 and 3 winzes. 50 tons from this will be crushed separate as a trial. The stuff from all parts of the mine is showing poor, being about 7 or Bdwts per ton. Main tunnel.— Better progress is being made, 21 feet having been driven during the week; the country is still tight. Point Russell winze.—Sinking is now slower owing to the increase of water (or drainage of backwater in reef.) The country in fcotwall part ef reef is easier, but hanging-wall part is much tighter. The last breaking down of reef showed no improvement. The clearing out of reservoir is completed, and the battery machinery is aU in good working order. — I am, etc., Bobebt Comeb.

Ingerson and party and Charnock and partj finished their crushings to-day for tbe respective yields of sozs 12dwts and loz 18dwts melted gold.

ALBUKNIA. Tucker and party finished their crush?ig to-day for the yield of 18£ozs gold.
