(To the Editor of the Erasure* Stab.) Sib,—l am very glad to ice that the County Council bare been so far successful in their negotiations re road to Te Aroba. I aaw in your contemporary's issue a few days ago a letter, I think, signed " Juniui Junr.," staling that one of the County Council was "actually employed (by the Council) as a surveyor, and was laying out the Aroha road. Wow, sir, I was always-given ..to understand, that .•& employee of a public body cannot be k member of auch public- body % but perhaps the worthy (?) and patriotic (?) mem* . ber for Ohineoiuri Hiding .is doing this work for nothing!. If to, all honor to him; he deserves all he can get. Bythe* bye, I hare heard some talk of a division going to take place in.the Cowtyivis., that the Ohinemuri Hiding it to be made a separate County;. well, so much the better..
