This day. Mr Bradshnw reports : —Batik of New Zealand, £23 15s; Colonial Bank, £2 10s ; National Bank, £3 14s cum. div.; National Insurance, £1 12s tid ; Standard Insurance, £1 3s, ex dividend; Union Insurance, 15s Gd ; Shipping Company, £3 12s. ex dividend.
I"r Macandrew and Captain Fraser ar ved overland last night. About sixty gentlemen met the Minister for Lands and gave three cheers.
Sir George Grey arrives to-morrow afternoon. A private meeting has been held relative to the reception of Sir George Grey and party. Amongst the proposals agreed to is a public meeting at the theatre to-morrow, at which the Premier gives an address, and a banquet for Saturday night. The Times denies that Sir George Grey received a cool reception at Invercargill.
