QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
The return from this mine on Saturday —323 ounces—may be considered rery satisfactory, as it is the result of the crushing with 10 head of stampers for about a month. The quarts was chiefly from the block recently opened up in the Queen of the May. The news from the mine continues unimportant,. th« only place from whence any continuous supply of quartz is obtained being the.stopes in the Queen of the May section. These are looking pretty well, and belter stone may be expected on the level being extended in on the footwall lode. The water in the low level continues unabated. The tribute section is looking well, and suarlz is coming from several places, 'he block on the No. 4 level is yielding well. Crushing is still in progress, and the tributers intend to keep it going as long as possible. I "may mention that up to the present the operations hare been confined to the Queen of Beauty section, the block in the City cf London being untouched yet.
