PRINCE IMPERIAL.
The men were driren out of the workings last night by an influx of.gas. and hare been kept out to-day also. A change in the wind will soon remedy that, however, and indeed the mine is always liable to gas with a; north • west wind blowing. The mine continues to look well, and the west drive shows an improvement in the appearance of the lode in that direction. It is about two feet from wall to wall, and shows gold frequently. Yesterday a few pounds of specimens were obtained from here, and from the appearance of the lode it is probable that there will be more to hand, next breaking down. Up in the stopes the lode also bears a healthy appearance, as something over half a hundredweight were broken out yesterday. The reef in drive ialand remains ai before, "little and good."
