HAMILTON.
This day,
Tho conference held here yesterday at 3.30 p.m. was most successful. The County and Borough Councils were ininfluentially represented. Ecsolutions were passed approving of the objects of the meeting, empowering the chairmen of the Borough and County Councils to call public meetings of ratepayers, and to invite information from companies and capitalists re terms for construction of the railway. A committee was formed— Dr Kilgour chairman. The Waikato Times highly complimented the Thames Councils for inaugurating the conference. All parties expect that great good will result to the district. The Thames mem.bers were received with the greatest kindness, especially by I. E. Vialou, Esq., Mayor, whose courtesy and hospitality are much appreciated by all.
