AUCKLAND.
This day. The Boat Accident in Auckland.
Finding of the Missing Men.
The rescue party which left here yosterday morning in Naval boat, in search of the missing boat containing Sinel and Young, had noticed about half-past six in the evening a signal flying on the southwest side of llangitolo. On making for there a dingey put off, which contained the missing men. It appears that they were caught in a very heavy squall about two hours after leaving here, and although the boat was close reefed she capsized, about thirty yards from land. Sinel managed to swim ashore, but on looking around he saw his companion struggling and evidently drowning. He at once swam out again, and succeeded in bringing him ashore. He was quite senseless, and Sinel had great difficulty in bringiug him round. The first night was spent in a cnve, but next morning they came across liangifoto Jack, who looked after their wants. They arrived at the wharf at about half-past eight last
night, looking none the worse for their perilous adventure.
