Tremendous excitement when the horses entered the straight, deafening cries of " Lara " being raised. Eight started, Lara won by about a length, Trump Card 2, Otupai 3; but with so little difference between them there was much uncertainty aa to place. Time —3 minutes 44 seconds and onetenth.
