It-is said the measures for the readjustment of representation, and the extension of the franchise, promised by the Ministry, are in course of preparation, and that the basis will be a six monthsresidence m the electoraldistrictbefore registration, and that the general roll will be periodically revised and corrected in connection with the ratepayer*'- roll. It is thought that.the present electoral districts will be altered and re-arranged in accordance with the population, but not so as to increase the present number of members, in the House-of Bepresentatires.,., . . .-£---.'. --- -
