GREYMOUTH.
Saturday. William Clark, a police constable at Ahaura, was brought before the Resident Magistrate on four charges of embezzlement as a gold receiver, and was committed on all the charges. A further charge of embezzlement was brought against him th:s afternoon, and he was also committed on that. The total amount embezzled does not exceed £20.
