THEATEE EOYAL

The Levy Concert Company gave an entertainment at the Theatre Royal on Saturday night to a limited audience, the dress circle being the part of the house most liberally patronised. The concert opened with a pianoforte solo of his own arranging by Signor Giorza from the " Grand Duchess," which was a fine composition introducing some of the favorite airs from the opera, and played in fine style. A duet by Miss Pitts and Signor KosnaU followed, and was well received, aud Miss Pitts sang " Out on the rocks' very feelingly. Signor Eosnati rendered f n,, ar! a \ and Mrs Lef^ BanK ft TerJ pretty ballad, being succeeded by Mr Levy in his first effort of the evening, a grand Kussiau soio, which was indeed a surprising piece of instrumentation, and was rapturously eucored, the plajer substituting another piece calculated to display his very exceptional powers of manipulation in play iu S the cornet, A/irio from '' Don Cffizar de Eazan "- concluded the first portion of the programme. After tn interval ot ten minutes the second part of the orogramme was proceeded with, and in this Mr Levy was set down for two pieces—" Sweet spirit hear my prayer," and "Irish Medley." In both he was again moat . enthusiastically applauded, aud in response to demands for encores he gave a very pretty Irish air and '• Auld lang syne/ the audience being really exacting. Signor Rosnati was sift en* cored for his rendition of a •electiWfrom Massaniello, as also were the ladies—Mn Levy for her arch singing of " Bread aud cheese and kisses)" and Miss Pitts for 5£ r Tfl j. fine ?io* in * of "II ■•gwiti." The old trio " Dame Durden" concluded an excellent performance, and one deserr* , ing of a mucu. more liberal appreciation at the hands of the public. *
