Arrived: Barque California, from San Francisco, with six passengers.
In the Supreme Court, re James Sharley v. James Gerrand, libel claim for a thousand pounds damages, verdict for plaintiff k damages fifty shillings, carrying costs. Plaintiff was a postmaster. * The libel consisted in reports by defendant that plaintiff opened his letters.
