Thames Scottish Prize Firing.
The Scottish Company fired on Saturday at tbe Maori range for tiro medals, and Concluding match to decide the team to fire against Auckland on the 28th. Both medals were won by Vol. Lucas with a good score of 49 points. The ranges were 200, 400, and 600 yards, fire shots at each. The wind was stronger .than on the prerious Saturday, and very irregular, especially at 500 yards. The shooting altogether was good, and at some of the ranges one or two of the competitors made all bull's-eyes. The following are the principal scores :— Lucas ... between the Scottish and Auckland Tie* torias is definitely fixed for Monday, the 28th January, to come off on Mount Eden range. A final meeting of the Scottish team will be held on Wednesday evening, at 7-30, but as far as we can ascertain.at present the following will be their team. The list includes a few new men who have come to the front in firing off to fill up places of some of the old shots who were unable to get away :—Geo. Price, George 8. Clark, T. Kendall, T. Stewart, Corbett, Bull, McLeod, McKee, McLeau, Brown* low, Dey, Weir, Symington, Murray, Scott, Forgie,Brownlec, T. Johnston, Sehofield, Iteid, Mayo, Newdick, Hamilton, Downie, and Lucas, with Buttle and Carpenter waiting men, aud McCarthy and Fotheringhanl as markers. The above embraces a good average team, and we wish them every success.
